Salvador Allende’s interview by Regis Debray. Salvador Allende: "I think that the bourgeoisie starts with the wrong premise i.e that man is the basic factor in the social process. We know instead that the people, the masses are the key element. Still, one man can have a particular inluence at a given time.. (...) As for Chile, well, if they kill me, the people will go on. The difference is that things will be tougher, more violent. For the Chilian people, the lesson will be clear: the bourgeoisie is ruthless.”
