In the 50s in Nevada, the US Administration proceeded to a series of atomic bomb tests. Those were achieved under minimal safety conditions for the neighbouring population as well as for the soldiers who participated in the operation. Some twenty years later, numerous cases of cancer and notably leukaemia affected the people who had been exposed to radio-active fall-outs. Some of these people and members of their family testify to the incompetence of the Administration and the Atomic Energy Commission. The film is also a tribute to director Paul Jacobs who was one of the first to denounce that scandal and who investigated the matter on location. He died of cancer in 1978.
